About the role
The Director of Engagement provides strategic leadership for the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia’s public programmes, learning, access and social impact initiatives, driving visitation and deepening audience connection with contemporary art.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and shape the museum’s engagement strategy for diverse publics and communities.
- Oversee public programmes, learning, access, visitor services and marketing & communications.
- Drive digital transformation of the visitor journey and integrate innovative technologies.
- Transform the National Centre for Creative Learning into a connected creative hub.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Communications and Marketing division.
Required profile
- Experienced senior arts professional with a proven track record in the cultural sector.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with strong resource‑management, communication and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to work with internal and external stakeholders and inspire teams.
