Director, Lakebase Sales Specialists

About the role

Databricks is seeking a strategic and execution‑oriented Director to lead a regional team of Lakebase Sales Specialists. The role focuses on growing the Lakebase business by helping customers modernize legacy databases, simplify application architectures, and operationalize AI.

Key responsibilities

• Own and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets for Lakebase in the region.
• Recruit, hire, and coach a high‑performing specialist team, integrating them with account plans and territory strategies.
• Implement global sales strategies for developers, platform engineering, and architecture organizations.
• Establish trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and platform leaders, and collaborate with cloud providers and partners.
• Provide field feedback to product, engineering, and GTM teams to refine messaging and positioning.

Required profile

• 8+ years in enterprise software, SaaS, cloud platform, database, or developer platform sales.
• 3+ years managing high‑performing enterprise sales or specialist teams.
• Proven success executing specialized GTM motions and meeting revenue targets.
• Strong ability to sell into CIO, CTO, and architecture organizations.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of modern application architectures, including APIs, microservices, real‑time systems, and distributed applications.
• Technical baseline in cloud platforms and database technologies.
