About the role

Director, Business Services at BDO focuses on large family businesses, high‑wealth families and family offices, delivering tax consulting, compliance, family governance and estate planning advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of significant clients, acting as a trusted adviser to business owners, family groups and family offices.
• Deliver complex advisory engagements across family governance, succession planning, business structuring, estate planning and tax matters.
• Drive business development activities, including networking, referral relationships and thought leadership.
• Manage operational effectiveness, financial performance and sustainable growth of the team.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with prior public practice experience.
• Proven experience leading complex tax advisory and compliance engagements for privately owned businesses and high‑wealth clients.
• Strong commercial acumen, leadership experience and a track record of business development success.

Required skills

• Technical tax expertise across Division 7A, CGT, trusts, restructuring, succession planning and property matters.
• Proficiency with cloud‑based accounting platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
