Digital Sales Account Executive

About the role

The Digital Sales Account Executive will join Lightyear’s APAC sales team in Sydney, driving new business by converting inbound enquiries and generating outbound opportunities. You will guide prospects through demos, trials and negotiations to become paying customers.

Key responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls/emails.
• Understand customer needs, qualify prospects and route them through the sales journey.
• Use AI‑powered prospecting tools to identify high‑value leads and optimise pipeline health.
• Conduct product demonstrations, negotiate commercial agreements and close deals.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM and contribute to team targets.

Required profile

• 2+ years of SaaS sales experience with a consultative approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a confident phone presence.
• Ability to engage C‑level executives and build relationships across the organisation.
• Self‑motivated, energetic and comfortable managing your own calendar and pipeline.
