DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

This remote‑first position is for a DevOps Engineer based in Australia, working within a global, distributed team. You will help design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that powers globally distributed digital products, focusing on automation, reliability, and developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal services and tools using Go to support deployment automation.
• Build, maintain and optimise scalable CI/CD pipelines, primarily with GitLab CI/CD.
• Manage and improve Kubernetes‑based production and pre‑production environments.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
• Enhance monitoring, logging and alerting with Grafana, OpenSearch and related observability platforms.
• Support automation initiatives that reduce manual operational work and accelerate delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and software delivery processes.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar infrastructure‑focused role.
• Strong ability to work independently in a distributed, remote environment.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions.
