DevOps Engineer – Azure / Linux

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Managed Service Provider supporting a global investment management firm. As a DevOps Engineer you will be one of the first technology hires in Australia, working remotely and collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams across the UK, Hong Kong, the Middle East and North America.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Azure‑based cloud infrastructure for a high‑performance hedge‑fund environment.
• Automate deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise and Terraform.
• Manage container workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and support Docker‑based applications.
• Develop and maintain IaC, Helm charts and ArgoCD configurations.
• Monitor systems with Datadog and ensure observability, security and compliance.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications.
• Proven DevOps experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong background with Azure cloud services.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (AKS), Docker and Terraform.
• Solid CI/CD expertise, especially GitHub Actions/Enterprise.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Advanced Linux administration skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and DevSecOps best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
