Despatcher – Transport & Logistics

About the role

The Despatcher will coordinate driver paperwork, loads and deliveries across rotating morning and afternoon shifts. You will act as the link between customers, schedulers, drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Work rotating shifts (5 am‑1 pm and 1 pm‑9 pm) on a fortnightly basis.
• Align driver paperwork with schedules and product loads.
• Liaise with customer service, schedulers and account managers to handle enquiries and delivery issues.
• Assemble pick‑lists, inspect shipments, confirm trips and maintain site stock accuracy.
• Report hazards, injuries, accidents and non‑compliance to Linde standards and local regulations.
• Support the distribution manager in executing the distribution strategy.
• Enter distribution‑related data and monitor driver compliance with scanner usage.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in a transport dispatch role.
• Secondary School Certificate; logistics diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Own reliable vehicle – public transport not available.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP systems and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using scanners for deliveries.
