Dental Receptionist – Brookvale (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Dental Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients at the Brookvale Dental Centre. Working closely with the Practice Manager and Dentist in Charge, you will help maximise appointment utilisation while delivering a professional and welcoming experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt and accurate responses to all enquiries, both in‑person and via phone.
• Answer incoming calls within KPI targets, manage call queues and deliver high‑quality service to members, patients and staff.
• Create, reschedule and cancel appointments; conduct follow‑up calls for recalls and cancellations; process daily SMS confirmations.
• Greet and check‑in patients, collect medical history forms, raise patient accounts, process benefit claims and gap payments.
• Maintain a clean reception area, handle daily banking, end‑of‑day reporting and file archiving.
• Follow up outstanding gap payments, assist with refunds, credit adjustments and benefit queries.

Required profile

• Professional presentation with strong customer‑service skills.
• Experience using appointment‑booking and accounts systems.
• High level of confidentiality, tact and professionalism.
• Knowledge of dental centre systems or similar environments.
• Desirable: experience as a Dental Assistant or willingness to be cross‑trained, experience with D4W, First Aid qualification.
