Dental Assistant – Full‑time Role

About the role

Join a four‑dentist practice that prides itself on gentle care for nervous patients. As a full‑time Dental Assistant you will work chair‑side across a wide range of general, restorative and preventive treatments, ensuring smooth appointments and a calm patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chair‑side assistance for check‑ups, fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for each appointment.
• Clean, sterilise and reprocess instruments in line with ADA infection‑control guidelines.
• Keep patients comfortable and informed, especially those who are anxious.
• Update clinical notes and charting in the practice‑management software.
• Assist with stock control and ordering for the surgery.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher).
• Strong knowledge of infection‑control and sterilisation protocols.
• Ability to use dental practice‑management software confidently.
• Calm, reassuring manner with nervous patients and good communication skills.
• Reliability and willingness to mentor newer team members.
• Right to work in Australia.

Required skills

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher).
