Data Analyst – AI‑Driven Data Quality & Governance

About the role

Energin is looking for a Data Analyst who is passionate about AI and data integrity to join its Sydney‑based team. You will own the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data across the CRM, E360 platform and backend energy‑tendering, billing and analytics systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain end‑to‑end data quality by fixing root causes in CRM, E360, billing and reporting systems.
• Serve as the single point of contact for data governance, manage the data dictionary and ensure compliance with Australian Privacy Principles.
• Reconcile customer, meter, contract and revenue data across all platforms to create a single source of truth.
• Use AI tools daily to automate checks, profile data, generate and validate SQL queries.
• Build and maintain reliable Power BI dashboards that support tendering, billing and strategic decisions.
• Partner with sales, operations, finance and engineering to translate data issues into business solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce or equivalent (DAMA/CDMP certification a plus).
• 2+ years experience in data analysis, data quality or data governance with multi‑system data flows.
• Background in energy, utilities, telco or other high‑volume billing environments.
• Hands‑on experience establishing data dictionaries, ownership frameworks and compliance standards.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (window functions, cross‑system reconciliation).
• Power BI (dashboards, DAX, semantic models).
• Python for data profiling.
• AI tools such as Claude or Copilot for code generation and workflow automation.
• Azure data services.
• CRM data models (Zoho or similar).
• Advanced Excel.
