Full Stack Developer (PHP/Laravel) – Sydney or Brisbane

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their Systems team in either Sydney CBD or Brisbane CBD. The role involves designing, building and maintaining internal web platforms that support business operations and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deliver full‑stack features for internal web applications.
• Build and maintain integrations with core systems such as Power BI, Microsoft Azure and Employment Hero.
• Develop web applications using PHP/Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Contribute to Python‑based development and deployment.
• Manage hosting configuration and application environments together with the Systems Administrator.
• Ensure production data integrity through backups, change control and risk management.
• Maintain and enhance search, notification and reporting functionality.
• Identify and implement improvements to development tooling, testing, code review and release processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer (candidates with less may be considered).
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js and front‑end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Solid knowledge of MySQL and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to deploy Python applications.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (AWS experience is a plus).
• Understanding of Power BI and modern front‑end technologies including HTML, CSS and Tailwind.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
