Customer Service Attendant – Intercity Trains

About the role

Join one of Australia’s largest operational service delivery teams as a Customer Service Attendant on Intercity trains. You will assist passengers who need extra help, provide a friendly smile, and ensure a safe, pleasant journey.

Key responsibilities

• Assist passengers with mobility, information, and service needs.
• Flag trains and use high‑tech mobile applications to support operations.
• Liaise with train crew to coordinate safe boarding and alighting.
• Maintain station cleanliness and overall appearance.
• Work rotating shifts, including nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with experience in customer‑facing roles.
• Enjoy frontline interaction and community service.
• Self‑driven, able to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Willingness to work flexible, rostered shifts and occasional extended hours.
• Own transport is beneficial for out‑of‑hours shifts.
