Customer Field Technician – Perth Metro

About the role

nbn is hiring a Customer Field Technician in Perth Metro. This hands-on, customer-focused role helps connect homes and communities by working independently on a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies. It suits tradespeople, trade assistants and field workers, including apprentices, and welcomes people from telecommunications, electrical, construction, plumbing, civil works, labouring or similar backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

• Complete installations, repairs, maintenance and customer support in homes and businesses
• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Keep customers informed and supported throughout the process
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; full training is provided
• Enjoys hands-on work and feels comfortable speaking with customers
• Background in a trade, technical job or customer-facing role is highly valued
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
