Customer Field Technician - Perth Metro

About the role

nbn is looking for a Customer Field Technician based in Perth Metro. This hands-on, customer-focused role helps connect homes and communities by completing a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies. You will work independently, and previous experience in telecommunications is not needed.

Key responsibilities

• Complete installations, repairs, maintenance and customer support across nbn technologies
• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Support customers in their homes or businesses and keep them informed
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• Enjoy hands-on work such as problem-solving and feel comfortable speaking with customers
• Background in a trade, technical job or customer-focused role is highly valued (plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, hospitality, manufacturing)
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia; a criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment are required
