Customer Delivery Architect - AI Solutions

About the role

Cisco is looking for a Customer Delivery Architect in Canberra who acts as the bridge between Cisco's technology and customer needs. The role designs and develops custom solutions aligned with the customer's technology roadmap, using AI-powered insights and automated design tools, and guides customers on adopting, scaling and leveraging AI-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a technical authority and thought leader, architecting and integrating AI-driven solutions across multiple technology domains.
• Lead and influence global, cross-functional teams (PMs, PgMs, SDMs, CEs, TLs and customer stakeholders) on complex, multi-architecture solutions.
• Shape strategic engagements with top-tier executives, defining the strategic value and ethical implications of AI initiatives.
• Drive post-sales activities such as adoption acceleration, expansion planning and renewals, and renewals advice tied to customer technology strategy.
• Provide limited pre-sales scoping input and support solution implementation.
• Share knowledge through best practices, success stories and training or mentorship programs for junior technical resources.
• Speak at industry events such as Cisco Live and represent Cisco's global thought leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of related experience, or Master's plus 8 years, or PhD plus 5 years, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Expert-level certification such as CCIE or equivalent.
• Global and industry-wide influence, with impact across multiple regions.

Required skills

• Deep technical expertise across multiple architecture domains (Cisco and other vendors).
• Advanced proficiency in designing, deploying and optimizing AI/ML solutions, data platforms and security frameworks.
• Ability to lead cross-vendor collaboration and influence senior stakeholders including sales teams and technical leaders.
