About the role
As a Customer Care Centre Officer you will be the first point of contact for SA Water customers across phone, web‑chat, email and face‑to‑face interactions. You will provide accurate, timely information and aim for first‑contact resolution while promoting SA Water initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of enquiries including billing, account queries, meter allocations, trade waste, property concerns and water quality issues.
- Listen actively, resolve issues promptly and escalate complex cases when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication and ownership of the customer experience throughout each interaction.
- Support customers through multiple channels while adhering to SA Water’s service standards.
Required profile
- Confident and empathetic communicator with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced call‑centre environment and adapt to change.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent data‑entry skills.
- Proactive mindset and commitment to delivering high‑quality service under pressure.
- Team player who contributes to a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
