Cruise Attendant – Whitsundays Cruises

About the role

Journey Beyond is recruiting a full-time Cruise Attendant for its Marine Team on a Whitsundays cruise operated by Cruise Whitsundays, based in Airlie Beach. The role sits on board one of the company's vessels, such as Camira Sailing, the Great Barrier Reef Adventure, Whitehaven Beach or Resort Connections, and focuses on delivering a memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests while prioritising their experience and safety
• Deliver food and beverages exceptionally
• Conduct safety briefings and presentations
• Maintain stock control and perform daily reconciliations of consumables on board
• Keep the vessel clean and tidy

Required profile

• Strong guest service skills and experience
• Reliable, self-motivated and proactive, with a keen eye for detail
• Physically fit to stand for long periods in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work within a team
• Intermediate to advanced swimming ability

Required skills

• Shipboard safety elements, GPH or higher
• QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol
• QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
• National Police Check
• First aid, CPR and advanced oxygen therapy
• Bronze Medallion and crowd management certificates are highly regarded
• Hospitality qualifications and previous marine experience are highly regarded
