Credit Analyst – Real Estate Lending

About the role

Funding Partner, a subsidiary of the Pallas Group, is expanding its real‑estate debt platform. We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Sydney team, working closely with senior credit leaders, origination, and other stakeholders to evaluate residential and commercial lending opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse residential and commercial real‑estate lending opportunities in line with Funding Partner’s risk appetite.
• Articulate credit risks and mitigants against policy, core principles and market conditions.
• Review borrower financials, valuations, feasibility studies and quantity‑surveyor reports.
• Prepare high‑quality credit papers and supporting analysis for senior credit managers and the Investment Committee.
• Assist in drafting indicative term sheets and support end‑to‑end assessment of lending opportunities.
• Collaborate with the in‑house legal team on due‑diligence and loan documentation.
• Conduct research, market analysis and prepare investor memorandums and thematic insights.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting processes, tools and templates.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Property Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience in private credit, real‑estate investment banking or property development.
• Strong understanding of real‑estate finance structures across major asset classes.
• Ability to interpret valuation reports, feasibility studies and market conditions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Financial modelling and advanced numerical analysis.
