Courseware Developer III

About the role

CAE is looking for a Courseware Developer III in Homebush to join a group of training professionals developing interactive eLearning content for Defence and Security clients in Australia. The role sits within the Technical Development Services team, which designs professional training solutions together with Instructional Systems Designers. You will work in a production team of developers, multimedia specialists, QA personnel, web developers and Subject Matter Experts, building products from one-page job aids to full e-learning courses and interactive 3-D simulations.

This is a senior position: you must show strong courseware development skills and subject matter expertise in Mission Aircrew roles in the Royal Australian Air Force. You will support the Instructional Systems Designer in evaluating courseware needs, reviewing lesson material and giving technical guidance to other developers. The position is temporary (fixed term).

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116 / 40122)
• Diploma of Vocational Education TAE 50122
• 5+ years of experience in training development
• Experience in training development within a military aviation or naval platform environment
• Demonstrated understanding of ADF training policies and procedures (SADL)
• Training or qualifications in the development of computer-based training

Required skills

• Excellent written and oral communication, including technical writing
• Subject matter expertise in Mission Aircrew roles
• Attention to detail, proactive and adaptable to changing priorities
• Team skills and customer focus
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to cope with pressure

Highly desirable: proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
