Corporate Tax Manager – Financial Services

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join its Financial Services tax team. Based primarily in Sydney, you will work with colleagues across Australia to deliver tax advisory and compliance services to leading banking, insurance and wealth‑management clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Australian income tax advisory and compliance services to clients in banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, superannuation and insurance.
• Manage a portfolio of complex tax engagements, ensuring accurate compliance, provision calculations and timely advice.
• Develop and lead a team of tax professionals, maintaining high‑quality delivery and fostering client relationships.
• Identify growth opportunities with internal stakeholders and contribute to the firm’s tax growth strategy.

Required profile

• 8+ years of Australian corporate income tax or fund tax experience, preferably from a top‑tier or mid‑tier accounting firm or corporate tax function.
• Completed CA qualification or equivalent.
• Strong influencing and communication skills, able to translate technical tax concepts into clear business recommendations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Australian corporate tax legislation and fund tax rules.
• Experience advising clients in the financial services sector (banking, insurance, superannuation, wealth management).
