Core Account Executive - Public Sector

About the role

Databricks is seeking a results‑driven Core Account Executive to lead public‑sector sales in New South Wales. Reporting to the Senior Sales Director, you will help government agencies adopt the Databricks platform and drive digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and close strategic opportunities that align with Australia’s digital priorities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing transformative deals.
• Drive platform consumption by uncovering key use cases and increasing usage.
• Build trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers and influence at the highest levels.
• Collaborate with solution architects, customer success, and global teams to ensure long‑term adoption.

Required profile

• Passion for using technology to create public‑good impact.
• Proven enterprise or public‑sector sales experience, preferably in Cloud, Data or SaaS.
• Strategic, structured approach with strong execution and accountability.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders.
• Growth mindset, creativity and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Spark.
• Understanding of Big Data concepts.
