Cook - Remote Community, Northern Territory

About the role

All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook for a community-based organisation in a remote community in the Northern Territory. The position is casual, 38 hours per week, with accommodation provided. It suits someone who enjoys preparing quality meals, working as part of a team and living in a remote community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• Plan and organise food preparation to meet daily requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen.
• Follow food safety regulations and workplace procedures.
• Monitor food supplies and assist with stock control.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Relevant cooking qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• A flexible and positive attitude towards working in a remote community.

What we offer

• Casual pay of $36.81 per hour plus 25% casual loading ($46.01 per hour).
