Contract Sourcing Specialist

About the role

Rexel Australia, a global leader in electrical wholesale operating in 17 countries and more than 1,900 branches, is hiring a Contract Sourcing Specialist in Welshpool. This is a varied, commercially focused position working closely with suppliers, sales teams and customers to drive pricing accuracy, improve margins and support strategic customer opportunities. The role suits someone who enjoys data, pricing logic and commercial problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local deals from enquiry through to quotation, renewal and ongoing maintenance within ERP systems
• Build strong supplier partnerships to secure competitive pricing, favourable trading terms and reliable product availability
• Support tender submissions, annual pricing reviews and contract-related activities
• Review customer BOMs and identify suitable product alternatives and value-added solutions
• Monitor and analyse customer margins, providing insights and recommendations to optimise profitability
• Maintain accurate pricing, product and contract data, including managing obsolete and superseded products
• Work with sales, operations and customers to resolve data integrity and automation issues
• Support supplier negotiations and commercial initiatives that deliver value across the business

Required profile

• Experience in the electrical wholesale, industrial, lighting or broader electrical products industry (highly regarded)
• Electrical trade sales or commercial sales support experience (highly desirable)
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and product information
• Excellent time management, prioritisation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins and market dynamics

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and confidence working with business systems
