Contract Administrator - Utilities Projects

About the role

SRG Global is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator for its Utilities team in Sydney, supporting the commercial and contractual management of key NSW infrastructure projects. The role starts Monday to Friday, initially supporting the Camellia project, and is based between the project site and the Pitt Street office. After this initial assignment, the position supports projects across the wider Utilities portfolio, with a focus on NEC4 contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Administer head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Manage NEC4 contract administration, including notices, correspondence and registers.
• Assist with the assessment and management of variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Prepare, review and issue contractual notices and formal communications.
• Identify contractual risks and opportunities and advise the project team.
• Support procurement, including RFQs, tender evaluations and subcontract awards.
• Review subcontractor progress claims, variations and contractual compliance.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts and monthly accruals.
• Contribute to client claims, commercial reporting and financial performance tracking.
• Resolve commercial matters with project managers, engineers and delivery teams, and build relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Ideally 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in engineering, construction or water infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in head contract and subcontract administration.
• Ability to work autonomously as part of a project team.
