Consultant – Tax Technology and Transformation

About the role

EY is looking for a Consultant to join its Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) team in Brisbane. You will work on innovative tax‑technology projects, helping large corporations adopt automation, analytics and next‑generation ERP solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tax technology services to global corporations, addressing data‑intensity and emerging technology impacts.
• Implement Intelligent Automation solutions that reshape day‑to‑day tax processes.
• Participate in large‑scale tax technology rollouts using platforms such as Tagetik, SAP PaPM, Anaplan, Oracle TRCS and OneStream.
• Develop tax governance solutions, often leveraging Microsoft SharePoint.
• Enhance tax analytics and reporting through direct/indirect tax system configuration and advanced data visualisation.
• Support transformation of tax operating models to improve organisational agility.
• Explore and prototype Tax Generative AI use cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, Technology or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in tax, tax technology or a consulting environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to clients.

Required skills

• ERP/EPM platforms: S/4HANA, Oracle, D365, WorkDay, Tagetik, SAP PaPM, Anaplan, Oracle TRCS, OneStream.
• Business analysis and data‑analytics tools: Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform.
• Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, SQL.
• Cloud data‑warehouse/lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
• Microsoft SharePoint for governance solutions.
