Construction Worker

About the role

Amtek Solutions is seeking a full‑time Construction Worker to join its Melbourne team. You will support the delivery of electrical and civil infrastructure projects, ranging from small remodels to major road upgrades, ensuring work is carried out safely, on schedule and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, excavation, and installation of structural elements for road, lighting and traffic signal projects.
• Operate or support plant and equipment, including trucks and excavators, under supervision.
• Handle and move materials, perform basic repairs, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople and subcontractors to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Report hazards or incidents promptly and contribute to continuous improvement of site operations.

Required profile

• Practical construction experience in general construction, renovation, civil or electrical infrastructure works.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow directions in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Valid Truck licence.
• Excavator ticket (advantageous).
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience operating plant or construction equipment.
