Construction Rigger – Transmission (Intermediate/Advanced)

About the role

ACCIONA Construction Australia is seeking Intermediate and Advanced Riggers to join its transmission network projects. You will work on assembling and installing rigging gear to position structural steel and heavy materials for new transmission infrastructure across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and install rigging gear (ropes, cables, pulleys, winches) to position structural steel and heavy materials for transmission network projects.
• Support the installation of transmission structure hardware on overhead lines.
• Operate brakes, winches and related equipment to move steel units safely.
• Assist in stringing overhead transmission conductors where required.
• Work on projects such as the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone and HumeLink East transmission line.

Required profile

• High Risk Work Licence – Rigger Intermediate and/or Advanced (NSW).
• For Intermediate level – completion of UETDRT0016 – Installing Transmission Structure Hardware or equivalent.
• For Advanced level – Certificate II in Transmission Line Construction (UET20422) or comparable qualification.
• Demonstrated experience on transmission projects of any complexity.
• Enrollment with a Registered Training Organisation able to issue the required licence.
