Construction Estimator

About the role

The Construction Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates and support the costing, procurement and commercial aspects of construction projects for a specialist plasterboard and ceiling contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, plans, specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for plasterboard, ceilings, wall lining and related works.
• Estimate material, labour, subcontractor and equipment costs and obtain supplier quotations.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Assist with procurement planning, supplier coordination and variation assessments.
• Monitor project costs and support cost control throughout the project.
• Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in construction estimating or a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
