Compliance Manager

About the role

As a Compliance Manager at Stryker, you will shape ethical business practices across Australia and New Zealand, influencing decision‑making and supporting responsible growth in a leading medical technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead execution and continuous improvement of compliance programmes across the region.
• Manage processes such as healthcare professional engagements, grants, sponsorships, third‑party risk, distributor oversight, conflict of interest, and promotional activities.
• Develop and implement local compliance procedures, controls and guidance.
• Deliver training and awareness initiatives on policies, industry requirements and ethical standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, monitoring, audits and drive corrective actions.
• Support investigations, root‑cause analysis and remediation plans.
• Analyse compliance data and regulatory developments to enhance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in compliance programme implementation and management.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements, industry codes and ethical standards.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, monitoring, auditing or investigations.
• Professional certification in Compliance, Law, Audit, Risk Management or Ethics (preferred).
• Background in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare or other highly regulated industry (preferred).
