Community Fundraising Specialist

About the role

Join Caritas Australia to lead community fundraising initiatives such as Project Compassion and emergency appeals. You will build relationships with schools, parishes and community fundraisers while supporting digital fundraising and campaign delivery. This hybrid, full‑time position offers the chance to grow your strategic fundraising experience and make a tangible impact on poverty reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver major campaigns, including Project Compassion and emergency appeals.
• Build and maintain relationships with community fundraisers, schools and parishes.
• Support campaign strategy, digital fundraising, supporter engagement and overall campaign delivery.
• Coordinate campaign activities, contribute ideas, and use supporter insights to improve fundraising outcomes.

Required profile

• Engaging, proactive fundraiser who enjoys connecting with people.
• Confident in reaching out to supporters and comfortable making phone calls.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience with digital fundraising platforms or CRM systems such as Salesforce is highly regarded.
