Community and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor - Water Infrastructure

About the role

The role focuses on building constructive community relationships around water infrastructure projects in Sydney’s northern suburbs. You will collaborate with design and construction teams to minimise disruption, communicate project impacts and keep community commitments visible throughout daily delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement engagement plans and identify public‑impact risks early.
• Prepare clear letters, newsletters, emails and other project communications.
• Maintain proactive relationships with residents, property owners and institutional stakeholders.
• Record public enquiries and grievances and coordinate timely, practical resolutions.
• Work with construction teams to honour community commitments and support internal project communications.

Required profile

• A relevant tertiary qualification such as Communications or Public Relations.
• Proven engagement experience in infrastructure, engineering or civil construction.
• Understanding of community impacts from civil works, particularly water infrastructure or road construction.
• Ability to resolve difficult enquiries and conflicts with tact and sound judgement.
