Communications & PR Intern – Luxury Weddings & Travel

About the role

Wedded Wonderland is seeking a Communications & PR Intern to support its luxury weddings and travel division in Sydney. This unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience across public relations, media outreach, influencer partnerships and event activation. You will work closely with seasoned professionals and contribute to real‑world campaigns from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of PR and communications campaigns.
• Research and maintain media, journalist and influencer databases.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, blog articles, newsletters and social‑media content.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare campaign performance reports.
• Support influencer outreach, partnership coordination and event logistics.
• Research trends in weddings, luxury travel, hospitality and lifestyle.
• Identify newsworthy stories and creative campaign opportunities.
• Contribute to content planning for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms.
• Conduct competitor and market research.
• Explore how AI tools can enhance communications, research and content creation.

Required profile

• Currently studying Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media, Events or a related field.
• Passionate about storytelling, media, weddings, luxury brands, travel or hospitality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Curious, proactive, reliable and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
