About the role

The Westin is seeking a Commis Chef to join its kitchen team, supporting the preparation and presentation of food that enhances guest wellbeing. This full‑time position offers the chance to grow within a people‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and maintain an assigned section of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency throughout service periods.
• Prepare and plate food in proper portions, focusing on detail and guest expectations.
• Maintain strong food safety and property standards.

Required profile

• Trade Industry Qualification or completion of a Commercial Cookery Qualification.
• Relevant experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Self‑motivated, driven and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion controls.
