Commercial Manager

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial management of large, complex defence programmes. You will work with a team delivering IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day commercial activities for large Federal Government programmes.
• Provide expert commercial and contractual advice across prime contracts and sub‑contracts.
• Develop and maintain clear contracting positions aligned with contract terms.
• Create and implement contracting strategies to mitigate risk, improve cash flow and enhance programme profitability.
• Identify and resolve commercial/contractual issues and lead negotiations for new scope or contract changes.
• Contribute to broader commercial and procurement initiatives within the organisation.

Required profile

• Lead and manage commercial aspects of large Government contracts.
• Establish, manage and implement contract changes within multidisciplinary environments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse and complex stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills across all commercial activities.
• Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance (with ability to uplift to TSPV).
