Commercial Manager - Construction Project

About the role

Lendlease Construction's ACT business is looking for a Commercial Manager to lead its Commercial team on a major, long-term project in Canberra. This is a leadership role where you take ownership of all commercial aspects of the project, including the head contract and subcontracts, and guide the team through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project Commercial team, which includes Contracts Administrators
• Administer the head contract and subcontracts
• Develop and execute the procurement strategy and processes
• Oversight of project cost controls, budget and cash flow
• Review contracts and tender documentation so that legal, EHS and compliance requirements are included

Required profile

• Construction management, building or engineering degree or equivalent
• 10-15 years of industry experience in contract administration within construction, ideally on projects above $100 million
• Healthcare project experience is highly regarded but not essential

Required skills

• Contract management and construction law
• Quantity surveying
• Program financial management, risk and opportunity management
• Performance reporting, budget preparation and administration
