Commercial Director

About the role

Prominence is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead its commercial growth strategy, drive sustainable revenue, and expand market presence. This senior leadership position reports to the CEO and is based in Brisbane with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Prominence's commercial growth strategy, building a qualified and diversified pipeline.
• Identify, qualify, shape and convert strategic consulting opportunities across priority sectors and markets.
• Build trusted executive‑level relationships with senior clients, strategic partners and key decision‑makers.
• Lead proposals, tenders, client presentations and commercial negotiations, creating commercially sound pricing and engagement models.
• Provide market intelligence, strategic advice and forecast commercial performance to the CEO.
• Ensure new engagements are properly scoped and transition effectively from business development to delivery.
• Coordinate business development resources and foster a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in commercial leadership, business development or consulting within professional services.
• Proven track record of generating sustainable revenue growth and building executive‑level client relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, contract negotiation and risk assessment.
• Understanding of consulting delivery, project scoping and resourcing.
• Established networks or ability to quickly develop networks across relevant sectors.
• Excellent financial, analytical, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
