Client‑Side Project Manager – Construction (Education/Defence)

About the role

RPS is seeking a client‑side Project Manager to lead construction projects in the Education or Defence sectors. Based in Darwin, you will work closely with government and private clients, shaping outcomes and delivering high‑value initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, from planning through to completion.
• Oversee contract administration and ensure contractor performance meets project standards.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to drive project success.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets and risk registers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security requirements, including baseline security clearance.

Required profile

• 5+ years recent construction project experience in Education or Defence.
• Professional qualification in project management, architecture, engineering or construction management.
• Proven ability to manage construction contracts and lead stakeholder relationships.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain a baseline security clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
