Client Director, Australia & New Zealand

About the role

Belmond is looking for a Client Director for Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney. The role develops, maintains and grows revenue from owned and prospect accounts across leisure, FIT, groups and events (MICE) markets, implements strategic account management and meets revenue targets for each property or group of properties. It also keeps the sales team motivated and focused on consistent financial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop quarterly sales action plans and an annual account management plan, reviewed with the Divisional Director of Sales
• Maintain close contact with property sales staff and directors, and collaborate with property management, sales and revenue management teams
• Qualify leads, prepare quotes and offers, and follow up enquiries to secure bookings
• Organise sales trips, roadshows and trade show participation, and support annual sales series and partner events
• Review team financial performance and account productivity, and coach and review direct reports
• Train clients and hosts client events, and communicate group promotions and offers
• Manage budgets with the Divisional Director of Sales and prepare sales reports
• Use BI tools such as Tableau for market and account analysis, and keep a clean account database in OSC
• Represent the brand at industry events and build relationships with tourism boards, airlines, DMCs and other luxury hospitality brands

Required profile

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in client management, sales or a similar role in hospitality or luxury travel
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and growing key accounts
• Strong account planning, lead conversion and client relationship management experience
• Willingness to travel as required

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools
• Experience with OSC, Tableau or similar BI/reporting platforms is advantageous
• Understanding of transient sales and commercial performance analysis
