Claims Advisor (Financial Lines)

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Claims Advisor to join its Financial Lines team in Sydney. This hybrid position requires at least three days a week in the office and involves managing complex claims for Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity and other financial‑line products.

Key responsibilities

• Handle specialist financial lines claims, advocating for clients from notification through to final settlement.
• Provide technical advice on policy coverage and interpretation to clients and brokers.
• Respond to broker and client queries, conduct meetings and liaise with insurers, claimants and external providers.
• Manage moderate to complex claims in line with Marsh processes and client service agreements.
• Identify referral opportunities and collaborate with the Advocacy team on claim issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers and agents.
• Law degree or ANZIIF qualifications are advantageous but not required.
