Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance

About the role

Join Mercer Super’s Line 2 Risk and Compliance team as a Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance. This hybrid position is based in Sydney (or Melbourne) and requires at least three days a week in the office, supporting the Head of Compliance in strengthening the fund’s compliance capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the Compliance Manager, Regulatory Compliance.
• Maintain the Compliance Management Framework and related policies.
• Provide compliance advice, review and challenge to the Line 1 Risk & Controls team and business stakeholders.
• Oversee key compliance processes including conflicts management, obligations management and regulatory change.
• Complete due‑diligence reviews of externally facing regulated documents and contribute to reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in governance, risk and compliance practices within superannuation.
• Ability to assess regulatory obligations and provide practical advice to stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of regulatory obligations relevant to a superannuation fund.
• Experience maintaining an obligations library and supporting obligation owners.
• Tertiary qualifications in law or a business‑related discipline.
