Civil Estimator

About the role

A civil construction business with over 45 years of experience is looking for a Civil Estimator based in Kilsyth. The role reports to the senior management team and focuses on preparing accurate tender submissions and quotes for minor and major civil projects, in line with tender requirements and deadlines. The advertised pay is $100,000 - $130,000 plus superannuation depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tender submissions, quotes and allowance sheets
• Carry out full quantity take-offs using PlanSwift
• Obtain subcontractor, supplier and tip site prices and availability
• Review tender documents and ensure compliance with requirements
• Prepare and manage tender timeframes and methodologies
• Maintain records of tender documents, correspondence and compliance
• Support contract negotiations and build strong supplier relationships

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil estimating
• Strong industry knowledge and networks within civil construction
• Experience working with local government tenders
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong contract negotiation and communication abilities
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of the management team
