Civil Engineering Team Lead

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Team Lead to provide technical leadership and coordinate a high‑performing engineering team across wind, solar and energy infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a civil engineering team, providing coaching, mentorship and fostering a safety‑focused culture.
• Oversee civil engineering activities through development, detailed design, procurement and construction phases.
• Provide technical governance and assurance for designs, studies, specifications and project deliverables.
• Support project planning, CAPEX estimating, tender evaluations, value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Manage and coordinate consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Offer technical support during construction and operations, including design reviews, issue resolution and site inspections.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering and eligibility for Chartered/Registered Professional Engineer status (RPEQ/RPEV).
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design, technical assurance or construction support for infrastructure, roads or energy projects.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing external consultants and contractors.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, design review processes and technical governance.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Experience in renewable energy projects or multinational environments is highly regarded.
