Christmas Casual Optical Assistant

About the role

Bailey Nelson is seeking enthusiastic Christmas Casual Optical Assistants for its Carindale store during the peak holiday period. This three‑month temporary role runs from early November 2026 to the end of January 2027 and requires full availability, including weekends and extra shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through their eyecare journey, offering styling advice, frame recommendations and tailored vision solutions.
• Assist with optical needs, ensuring each visit is warm, engaging and memorable.
• Maintain a dynamic store environment, supporting high standards of operation during busy periods.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders and optometrists to keep peak trading running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability throughout the November‑January period, with flexibility for weekends and extra weekday shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, energetic attitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable time‑management and ability to work well in a team.
