Christmas Casual Optical Assistant

About the role

Bailey Nelson is hiring seasonal Optical Assistants for its South West Perth stores (Claremont and Fremantle) for the busy holiday period. This three‑month casual contract runs from early November 2026 to the end of January 2027 and requires full availability, including weekends and peak trading days.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through the eyecare journey, offering styling advice, frame recommendations and vision solutions.
• Assist with optical needs, ensuring each visit is warm, engaging and memorable.
• Maintain a dynamic store environment by delivering high energy service and upholding operational standards.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders and optometrists to keep peak trading running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability throughout the November‑January period, with flexibility for weekends and extra shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable time‑management and the ability to work well within a team.
