About the role

Bailey Nelson is seeking enthusiastic Christmas Casual Optical Assistants to join its Adelaide stores for the busy holiday season. This temporary role runs from early November 2026 to the end of January 2027 and requires full availability, including weekends and peak trading periods.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through their eyecare journey, offering styling advice, frame recommendations, and tailored vision solutions.
• Assist with optical requirements, ensuring each visit is warm, engaging, and memorable.
• Maintain a dynamic store environment by bringing positivity and energy, supporting operational standards.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders, and optometrists to keep peak trading running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability from November 2026 to January 2027, with flexibility for weekends and extra shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality, or a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent time‑management, reliability, and ability to work well in a team.
