Chief Commercial Officer

About the role

The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to lead its commercial, product and membership functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior executive will shape the organisation’s growth strategy, focusing on membership acquisition, corporate partnerships, product development and precinct activation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for membership acquisition, retention and engagement.
• Drive corporate partnership development and commercial sales performance.
• Lead product development and enhance customer experience across race‑day and non‑race‑day offerings.
• Identify and implement revenue diversification initiatives and precinct activation opportunities.
• Increase race‑day attendance through innovative product and experience design.
• Establish a high‑performing operating rhythm across the commercial organisation.
• Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team, board and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive executive leadership experience across commercial, product, sales and customer functions.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and customer acquisition.
• Experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary teams in dynamic environments.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and board communication skills.
• Data‑led and customer‑centric mindset.
