Junior Account Executive - Retail

About the role

Support the Pacific Retail Sales team across Australia and New Zealand, covering NielsenIQ's Retail, FMCG, and Tech & Durables solutions. Partner with senior sales professionals to identify, develop, and execute commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients by understanding their business priorities and market challenges.
• Engage in consultative sales conversations, leveraging NielsenIQ data, insights, and analytics to develop tailored solutions.
• Contribute to revenue growth through account development, pipeline generation, and opportunity management.
• Support new business acquisition through market research, prospecting, lead generation, and client outreach.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams—including Analytics, Customer Success, and Client Delivery—to ensure successful solution implementation and client satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales records, opportunity tracking, and pipeline updates within CRM systems.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity and interest in consumer insights, retail markets, and data‑driven decision making.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, confident engaging clients and internal teams.
