Chef de Partie

About the role

Four Points by Sheraton in Perth is looking for a Chef de Partie. The position supervises the preparation and production of all hot and cold food items for the food and beverage outlet and supports the Head Chef in maintaining quality and consistency across the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
• Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
• Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish
• Maintain organisational skills so the section stays clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
• Prepare and present food so it exceeds travellers' expectations and understand their requirements
• Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
• Maintain strong food safety and property standards

Required profile

• Trade industry qualification or completion of a Commercial Cookery qualification
• Relevant experience in a similar role
• Working rights in Australia
• Enthusiasm to grow a career, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
