Caulker - Full-Time On-Site

About the role

Dr. Caulk Australia is a Melbourne-based specialist caulking contractor delivering end-to-end solutions for large-scale commercial and high-end residential projects. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Caulker to prepare and seal joints, gaps and interfaces in precast panels, facades, expansion joints, wet areas and internal finishes. The role involves working within construction programs, coordinating with site supervisors and other trades, and maintaining a safe, organised work area.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply sealants and waterproofing details to joints, gaps and interfaces
• Seal precast panel joints, facade systems, expansion joints, wet areas and internal finishes
• Ensure clean, accurate finishes that meet project specifications and compliance standards
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades and maintain a safe, organised work area
• Follow company quality processes and OH&S requirements

Required profile

• Practical experience in related trades such as masonry, with strong skills in preparing substrates and understanding building interfaces
• Competence working at height, including scaffolding, EWP and fall protection systems
• Knowledge of coatings and sealant systems, including compatible primers and commercial-grade materials
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow site instructions accurately
• Relevant construction or trade qualifications, White Card and required tickets (e.g. EWP, Working at Heights) are highly regarded
• Previous experience in caulking or sealing on commercial or high-end residential projects is an advantage

Required skills

• Waterproofing applications, including detailing around joints, penetrations and wet areas
• Experience with external building envelopes, siding and facade systems
• Strong attention to detail, consistent workmanship and good communication with site teams
