Casual Food Services Assistant - Aged Care

About the role

Estia Health Oakleigh East, a friendly and welcoming aged care residence in a quiet residential street near public transport and local shops, is looking for experienced Food Services Assistants to join its team on a casual basis. The role sits within a larger organisation of 96 homes across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food and drink
• Clean, including washing dishes
• Change the menu by working with the team and residents to create meals that suit every individual
• Keep records as part of the Food Safety Program
• Stay active and on your feet for most of your shift

Required profile

• A real desire to make a difference in people's lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care experience is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
